2D Artist Job Description

We are seeking a skilled 2D artist to contribute to the development of captivating visuals for our game worlds. As a member of our dynamic creative team, you will be responsible for creating high-quality 2D assets, including concept art, character designs, and user interface elements. In addition to supporting our game projects, you will also help with marketing and branding efforts by creating visually appealing assets such as promotional artwork and social media content.

This role presents an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact across various aspects of our projects. You will have the chance to collaborate closely with internal teams to grasp visual requirements and project objectives effectively, and iterate on designs based on feedback from stakeholders and playtesting sessions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create exceptional 2D assets that seamlessly align with the game's art style and narrative.
  • Craft concept art, character designs, sprites, textures, and user interface elements.
  • Optimize assets for performance and memory constraints, targeting mobile platforms without compromising visual fidelity.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams to integrate assets into the game engine and troubleshoot implementation issues.
  • Contribute to the development and upkeep of art pipelines, asset libraries, and style guides.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in art, graphic design, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in 2D asset creation for games, with a diverse portfolio showcasing capabilities across various styles and genres.
  • Strong proficiency in industry-standard software for 2D art (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator).
  • Excellent understanding of fundamental art principles such as composition, color theory, anatomy, and perspective.
  • Exceptional creativity, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills, coupled with a passion for pushing artistic boundaries.
