Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Event Streaming Manager to lead the design, development, and management of our enterprise-grade event-driven architecture.

This role will be responsible for managing Kafka, MQ systems, and other streaming/data ingestion platforms, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance to support our large-scale digital payments ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead Architecture Deployment Operations: Manage Kafka clusters, ActiveMQ/RabbitMQ, and other messaging platforms.
  2. Manage Real-Time Data Ingestion Pipelines: Support payments, transactions, analytics, and fraud detection use cases.
  3. Define Best Practices: Implement best practices for event-driven microservices, schema management, and message governance.
  4. Oversee Cluster Reliability Performance Security: Ensure reliability, performance tuning, and security of Kafka/MQ clusters in production.
  5. Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Design high-throughput, low-latency solutions with application, data, DevOps, and security teams.
  6. Lead Team Engineers Provide Mentorship Technical Guidance Performance Management: Oversee a team of engineers, providing mentorship, technical guidance, and performance management.
  7. Establish Monitoring Observability Alerting Frameworks: Drive the implementation of monitoring, observability, and alerting frameworks (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Confluent Control Center).
  8. Drive Capacity Planning Scaling Strategies Disaster Recovery: Manage capacity planning, scaling strategies, and disaster recovery for messaging platforms.
  9. Manage Vendor Relationships Licensing Support: Oversee vendor relationships, licensing, and support for platforms like Confluent Kafka.
  10. Ensure Compliance Regulatory Security Requirements: Ensure compliance with regulatory and security requirements (SBP, PCI-DSS, data privacy).
