Teaching Positions at the HU School of Languages & Literature

About the Role

We are seeking highly competent male and female professionals to join our faculty as lecturers, assistant professors, associate professors, or professors. As a member of our team, you will play a vital role in shaping the minds of future generations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lecturer: Teach courses such as Foundation of Literary Theory & Criticism, Geography, Morphology, Human Rights & Citizenship, International Relations, Environmental Studies, and Pakistani Literature.
  • Assistant Professor: Teach advanced courses and participate in research activities.
  • Associate Professor: Lead research teams and mentor junior faculty members.
  • Professor: Provide academic leadership and contribute to the development of the school's curriculum.
Requirements
  1. Lecturer: A First Class MS/MPhil/equivalent degree from an HEC-recognized University/Institution with no 3rd division in the academic career.
  2. Assistant Professor: Ph.D. in a relevant field from an HEC recognized University/Institution.
  3. Associate Professor: Ph.D. in the relevant field from an HEC-recognized University/Institution.
  4. Professor: Minimum Qualification Ph.D. from an HEC recognized Institution in the relevant field.
Experience Requirements

For Lecturer: 10 years teaching/research experience in an HEC recognized University or a postgraduate Institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International organization OR 5 years post-PhD teaching/research experience in an HEC recognized University or a post-graduate Institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International organization.

For Assistant Professor: 15 years of teaching/research experience in HEC recognized University or a post-graduate Institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International organization. OR 10 years post-Ph.D. teaching/research experience in a recognized university, a post-graduate institution, or professional experience in a relevant field in a National or International organization.

Minimum Number of Publications

For Lecturer: The applicant must have 10 research publications (with at least 4 publications in the last 5 years in the HEC recognized Journals).

For Professor: The applicant must have 15 research publications with at least 5 publications in the last 5 years in HEC-recognized journals.

Courses Offered

Fundamental courses such as Geography, Morphology, and Human Rights & Citizenship, as well as specialized courses like International Relations, Environmental Studies, and Pakistani Literature.
