The Senior Medical Officer will be responsible for working in shifts to support Emergency Room operations as a locum physician. Key responsibilities include:

  • Performing initial patient evaluations, investigations, and management to maintain high clinical quality and service standards.
  • Coordinating with medical staff and working under the supervision of on-call faculty to ensure effective patient care and treatment.
  • Conducting bedside teaching and training while participating in academic activities of the Emergency Department.
  • Supervising the work of Interns and Medical Officers during their rotations.
  • Participating in educational activities such as grand rounds and journal clubs.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • An MBBS degree with a valid PMDC license.
  • At least 8 years' experience in Emergency Medicine/Surgery/Medicine, preferably with FCPS or MRCEM certification.
  • Able to work independently and with teams, with strong interpersonal/communication skills.
  • Proficiency in computer skills, especially Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work in shifts and adapt to changing situations.
