About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Principal Engineer, Maintenance to oversee the planning, monitoring, and controlling of operation, maintenance, project functions, resources, and staff in an effective and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Operation & Maintenance – Comprehensive expertise is required in the operation and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, civil, and utility systems, including but not limited to compressors, cooling towers, pumps, gears, conveyors, sifters, dryers, elevators, mills, centrifuges, fans, motors, LT/HT switchgears, generators, 132 KV grid stations, basic knowledge of instrumentation & PLC/DCS systems. Familiarity with maintenance methodologies such as Reliability Centered Maintenance, Condition-Based Maintenance, and Time-Bound Maintenance is essential.
  2. Project Management – Capable of designing mechanical and electrical systems along with making modifications to meet process requirements. Project management knowledge is necessary to handle capex projects and meet project timelines through effective control of cash flows.
  3. Inventory Management – Strong knowledge of inventory management systems is required to evaluate critical store items to keep machines operational, evaluate QEMs for material selection, and follow up on deliveries through developing critical machine parts lists and updating statuses regularly.
  4. Contractor Management – Capable of dealing with contractors to execute project jobs within timelines and budgets. Development of contracts for petty jobs, evaluation of contractor bids, QEMs, and billings will be mandatory.
  5. People Management – Must have the capability to lead teams across mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, utilities, and civil disciplines, fostering coordination among departments, providing technical guidance, and building effective teams.
  6. Compliance of Company Policies – Responsible for ensuring adherence to company policies.
  7. Continuous Improvement – Share ideas for continuous improvement projects, conserve energy through process optimization, prepare feasibility reports and BOQs, oversee procurement, and ensure safe project execution. Contract management is mandatory.
  8. Stakeholder Management – Ensure compliance with TNA for employee development through training, build relationships with stakeholders, coordinate with procurement for low-cost substitutes of import items, and ensure business needs are met efficiently.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Mechatronics Engineering
  • Prior experience in petrochemical, fertilizer, process, food, or cement industries
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in O&M of electrical & mechanical installations
  • Deep knowledge of O&M of Mechanical & Electrical systems, maintenance methodologies, reliability management, and people development
  • Proficiency in ERP systems including SAP, Lean Six Sigma, MS Office, ETAB, AutoCAD, & Power BI for preventive and corrective maintenance
  • Understanding of international standards like EHS, IMS, GPM, ISO, and Food Safety
