To be successful in this role, you must operate effectively as part of a team of academic colleagues to facilitate learning and implement the academic plan.

  1. Meet annual targets assigned by your supervisor to ensure high-quality teaching and learning environment for students.
  2. Work towards goals set by senior management to deliver exceptional student outcomes.
  3. Teach assigned courses according to faculty workload policy and contribute to planning of teaching programs.
  4. Develop and employ innovative teaching strategies to enhance student engagement and experiential learning.
  5. Challenge thinking, foster debate, and develop students' critical discourse and rational thinking skills.
  6. Supervise student projects, field trips, and placements where appropriate and provide feedback on work and examinations.
  7. Maintain accurate records of students' academic progress for internal evaluation purposes.
  8. Mentor students through the Riphah Mentoring Program and support their personal development.
  9. Update data in Learning Management Systems and other required software as per requirements.
  10. Incorporate Islamic and ethical values into teaching content and delivery methods.
  11. Promote departmental and university committee activities and participate in decision-making processes.
  12. Evaluate and improve teaching content and delivery methods to align with organizational mission and address staff and student needs.
  13. Monitor student attendance in classes, labs, and practicals and take necessary actions.
  14. Contribute to publications or disseminate research findings through academic journals and media outlets.
  15. Seek practical applications for research findings and promote new knowledge through peer-reviewed publications.
  16. Lead independent research as a principal investigator and project leader.
  17. Serve as a referee and contribute to peer assessment and review.
  18. Act as a line manager supervising others' work, such as research teams, projects, or PhD supervision when required.
  19. Perform additional duties assigned by senior management within the scope of this job.
