IT Risk Management Specialist

This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the bank's IT and IS environment is continuously assessed and evaluated to identify control gaps and weaknesses. The incumbent will have direct reporting to a Senior Manager, overseeing the implementation of audit priorities, evaluating operational processes, and identifying risks.
Main Responsibilities:- Evaluating the effectiveness and efficiency of IT and IS operations, including risk management processes and internal controls.
- Conducting audits and reviews, analyzing results, and providing recommendations for improvement.
- Developing action plans to address identified risks and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Providing guidance and support to audit teams during routine reviews.
- Staying up-to-date with industry developments, best practices, and regulatory requirements.
Candidates should possess strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and experience in managing complex projects. A postgraduate degree in business or finance, combined with relevant certifications (e.g., CISA, CISM), is highly desirable.
A minimum of 8 years of experience in auditing, preferably in a banking environment, is required, along with at least 4 years spent at a managerial level. Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualifications are preferred.
The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, able to contribute to the enhancement of the risk management and internal control system. Team leadership qualities, excellent oral and written communication skills, and the ability to command respect by demonstrating skills and presenting practical solutions are essential.
