Instrumentation Specialist

The Instrumentation Specialist will play a crucial role in the maintenance and troubleshooting of automated instrumentation in pharmaceutical machines and ancillaries. This individual will be responsible for developing and implementing new maintenance procedures, analyzing equipment failure data to identify patterns and trends, and conducting root cause analysis to determine the underlying cause of problems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement training programs for department staff to enhance their technical knowledge and skills.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of innovative control strategies and guide team members in advanced technical and project management skills.
  • Perform the upkeep, installation, adjustment, and restoration of various apparatus, process control computers, and electronic instruments.
  • Have sound knowledge of SAP and engineering fundamentals, and the ability to perform corrective, preventative maintenance, and condition-based maintenance on existing machines.
  • Manage machine spare parts management and suggest modifications to enhance system performance.
  • Prepare written reports of activities such as installation, qualifications, and root cause analysis.

Key Requirements:

  • A B.E degree in Electronics is required.
  • A minimum of 4-8 years of relevant experience in an organization preferably in the pharmaceutical industry is required.
  • Hands-on experiments with PLC, HMI, and motion drives are essential.
