About the Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and collaborating with a team to deliver high-quality clinical laboratory services. This includes overseeing all aspects of clinical governance, ensuring quality assurance and accreditation, and developing services.
Main Responsibilities:
- Independent sign out of complex cases and providing clinico-pathologic advice to clinicians regarding abnormal results.
- Proven experience of working constructively as part of a team and making decisions to give guidance.
- Effective communication skills, including presenting to an audience, writing clear reports, and responding to queries.
Requirements:
- A strong background in hematology and transfusion medicine, with extensive knowledge of laboratory theory and techniques.
- Ability to take responsibility, show evidence of leadership, and make decisions effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to develop effective working relationships.
- Flexibility, proactivity, and awareness of personal limitations.
