Cloud Architect Role

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of cloud computing principles, architecture, and technologies, as well as excellent technical skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical leadership for a team of engineers focusing on development, deployment, and operations.
  • Lead and contribute to multiple pods with moderate resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity.
  • Interface technically with a range of stakeholders impacting customers and business.
  • Lead others to solve complex problems.
  • Work within an agile, multidisciplinary DevOps team.
  • Migrate and re-engineer existing services from on-premises data centers to Cloud platforms (GCP/AWS).
  • Understand business requirements and provide real-time solutions.
  • Use project development tools like JIRA, Confluence, and GIT.
  • Write Python/Shell scripts to automate operations and server management.
  • Build and maintain operational tools for monitoring, notifications, trending, and analysis.
  • Define, create, test, and execute operational procedures.
  • Document current and future configuration processes and policies.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

The successful candidate will have:

  • Expert-level knowledge of cloud computing principles, architecture, and technologies.
  • Proven experience in designing, deploying, and managing cloud-based systems.
  • Excellent technical skills, including programming languages such as Python and Shell.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
