Senior Financial Analyst

Role Summary

This position requires a highly skilled Senior Financial Analyst to work on a remote, full-time basis. The ideal candidate will have experience with financial analysis tools, a deep understanding of financial reporting, data management, and forecasting, and advanced Excel skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide in-depth analysis of financial data, trends, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to help guide strategic decision-making.
  • Prepare, review, and present accurate and timely financial reports for management, ensuring all data is well-organized and actionable.
  • Utilize advanced Excel functions (e.g., VLOOKUP, pivot tables, macros, and complex formulas) to manipulate large datasets, create models, and support financial reporting.
  • Use Data Rails to consolidate financial data, automate reporting, and enhance data accuracy. Maintain data integrity across multiple financial platforms.
  • Manage financial transactions, reconciliations, and monthly close processes within QuickBooks Online, ensuring accurate records and compliance with company standards.
  • Assist with the development of financial forecasts, budgets, and long-term financial strategies based on business performance and trends.
  • Identify and implement improvements to streamline financial processes, reporting workflows, and data management practices.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure financial insights align with overall business goals.
  • Analyze financial discrepancies, identify root causes, and provide actionable recommendations to resolve issues.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Financial Analyst, Senior Analyst, or similar role, with a solid understanding of financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and macros.
  • Experience with Data Rails for financial data management and reporting.
  • Proficiency with QuickBooks Online (QBO) for financial management and reporting.
  • Strong knowledge of financial principles, accounting standards, and business metrics.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly convey financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to analyze complex financial data and generate actionable insights.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team, managing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable working a night shift (8pm - 4am PST) in a remote, flexible work environment.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients on financial matters, addressing inquiries and providing financial guidance.
