The Psychologist will provide mental health and psychosocial support services, individual and group counseling, and psychotherapy to clients and their families with mental health conditions and psychosocial issues. The role involves working as part of a multidisciplinary team and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to deliver trainings for staff on topics relevant to psychological practice and case management.
Key Responsibilities- Provide evidence-based psychological services for clients and their families with mental health conditions and psychosocial issues.
- Engage with clinical and supportive supervision to ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Work as part of a mental health case management team along with other service providers to develop care plans that are individualized and mutually developed with the client.
- Support the delivery of trainings for staff on topics relevant to psychological practice and case management.
- Conduct risk assessments and advise staff on carrying out risk assessments and the development of safety plans.
- Remain up to date on evidence-based psychological interventions and advances in the field of psychology.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Master's degree in psychology and/or holding a license to practice psychology is essential.
- Experience with an NGO (preferred).
- 3+ years' experience in mental health preferred.
- Master at least one psychotherapy technique.
- Knowledge in human rights, especially as they relate to people with mental health and psychosocial concerns (preferred).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in low-resource contexts.
- Good ability to work in a multi-ethnic environment.
- Interest in learning and continued professional development.
- Arabic and English language ability is essential.
