About the Job

The Agricultural Partnership Facilitator will play a key role in implementing a project aimed at developing climate-resilient agriculture practices in Punjab and Sindh Provinces. The successful candidate will be responsible for facilitating field-level interventions, establishing Farmer Field Schools, and providing technical support to local stakeholders.

Main Responsibilities

  • Oversight and quality assurance of the implementation of Letters of Agreement with service providers
  • Supporting service providers in implementing integrated community outreach programs
  • Facilitating the development of community outreach plans for empowering livestock farmers through Farmer Field Schools and community-wide interventions
  • Cordinating routine engagements with technical departments at the district level for joint planning, technical backstopping, and supervision of community outreach activities
  • Quality assurance of community outreach, ensuring that guidelines for implementing good-quality Farmer Field Schools are followed
  • Establishing and managing demonstration plots, conducting needs assessments, stakeholder meetings, and preparing meeting minutes
  • Performing demo plot profiling and preparing profiling reports
  • Identifying training and visibility materials using Standard Operating Procedures and requesting their provision from the Lead Partner and District Team Leader
  • Contributing to fine-tuning or improving the Climate Business Field School and Women Open School curricula during adaptive research demo plot studies
  • Sharing outcomes of research on a timely manner
  • Contributing to the Climate Business Field School and Women Open School curricula with special attention to communication and visibility strategies
  • Assisting in establishing further demo plots by service providers under LoAs between FAO and Service Providers
  • Planning and conducting field days using SOPs and preparing reports before and after field days
  • Facilitating and contributing to local-level ToTs for extension officers, staff, and/or employees from partner organizations on women open schools activities under Letters of Agreement
  • Providing continuous backstopping to Farmer Facilitators, Government Extension Workers, and Partner Projects/NGOs/Private Sector Company Facilitators and RSPN facilitators for women open schools
  • Closely working with CBFS and WOS facilitators in interacting with testing and validation of ongoing CBFS/WOS practices on adaptive research demo plots
  • Assisting district team leaders and sectoral specialists in day-to-day monitoring of CBFS/WOS interventions and compiling monthly monitoring sheets (online/offline)
  • Documenting, reporting, and developing databases based on progress of trained beneficiaries' information
  • Identifying and developing case studies and success stories for periodic reports
  • Ensuring timely submission of Women Open School monthly work plans and progress reports to supervisors

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Master's degree in agriculture, water management, irrigation agribusiness, or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in agricultural research (quantitative and qualitative) and 2 years of experience in Farmer Field School (FFS) or agriculture extension
  • Working knowledge of English and local languages used in the province
  • Nationality of Pakistan
