Technical Interview Specialist

The Karat team is seeking a highly skilled Technical Interview Specialist to create high-quality technical interview questions used to assess engineering talent globally. As part of our content development team, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative technical interview content that meets the evolving needs of the industry.


  • Develop and implement effective technical interview content strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of technical interview content into the hiring process.
  • Partner with sales and client teams to provide expert guidance on technical interview best practices and content capabilities.
  • Review and iterate on technical interview guidelines to ensure fairness and consistency as formats adapt for AI usage.
  • Work closely with the interview delivery team to revamp engineer onboarding for interviews and improve the overall candidate experience.

Requirements:
  • 5+ years of post-academic software engineering experience with demonstrated ability to program in a common language.
  • Experience participating in sales calls, including discussions with prospects and clients.
  • Hands-on experience working with Generative AI solutions (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude).
  • Proven track record of collaborating with remote global teams.
  • Fluent, concise English communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to operate independently with high output and strict deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience conducting technical interviews.
  • Project management or product management experience.
  • Experience working in fast-paced startup environments.
  • Professional experience using Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or other agentic AI tools for software development.

Location and Eligibility:

This position is available to candidates residing in India. While our team operates 100% remotely, we are currently limiting hiring to these locations.
