Cybersecurity Operations Job Description

This entry-level role involves supporting the SOC in monitoring, analyzing, and responding to security alerts and incidents. The primary objective is to ensure timely identification and escalation of potential threats using SOC tools such as SIEM, EDR, and threat intelligence platforms.

The Cybersecurity Operations Specialist will operate under close supervision, following established procedures and runbooks, while gaining hands-on experience in cybersecurity operations.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Basic understanding of SOC operations and cybersecurity principles
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP, networking fundamentals, and OSI model
  • Exposure to SIEM concepts such as log collection, event correlation, and alert generation
  • Understanding of malware types, phishing techniques, and basic threat vectors

What You Need To Be Successful
  • Bachelor`s degree in computer science, Information Security, or a related field.
