Information Security Analyst Role

This is a key position that requires an individual to play a critical role in the organization's information security team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring and analyzing security events from various sources, including SIEM, firewalls, IDS/IPS, EDR, and network traffic. They must perform in-depth root cause analysis and recommend remediation strategies.

Additionally, they will coordinate and support containment, eradication, and recovery efforts during security incidents. The analyst will also lead threat hunting activities and proactively identify potential threats. Documenting incident findings and contributing to improving playbooks and response processes are essential tasks.

To excel in this position, the candidate should possess a bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience). A minimum of three years of experience in a Security Operations Center (SOC) environment is necessary.

Proficiency with tools such as SIEM, EDR, IDS/IPS, and firewalls is required. Hands-on experience with incident response, investigation, and remediation is also vital. Familiarity with the MITRE ATT&CK framework, kill chain model, and threat hunting techniques is highly desirable. Relevant certifications like GCIA, GCIH, CEH, CySA+, or equivalent are preferred.

A strong analytical, communication, and documentation skillset is necessary for success in this role.
