IT Governance Manager Position

We are seeking a seasoned IT Governance Manager to spearhead our organization's IT governance framework, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. This role involves strategic development of IT strategies, risk management, and implementation of security policies that protect university data and systems.

About the Role
  • This position is responsible for developing and implementing IT governance frameworks that align with organizational goals and compliance requirements.
  • The successful candidate will lead and mentor a team of professionals, fostering a collaborative environment focused on IT governance and compliance.
  • Regular risk assessments and audits will be conducted to identify vulnerabilities and ensure adherence to security policies and data privacy regulations.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement IT governance frameworks to align with organizational objectives and compliance obligations.
  2. Lead a team of professionals in fostering a collaborative environment focused on IT governance and compliance.
  3. Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and ensure adherence to security policies and data privacy regulations.
  4. Collaborate with other departments to integrate IT governance processes across the organization, ensuring a unified approach.
  5. Oversee the implementation and management of risk management software and compliance management software to enhance governance capabilities.
  6. Design and deliver training programs for staff on IT governance principles, risk management practices, and compliance requirements.
  7. Assess and review existing IT strategies and policies, recommending updates and improvements to meet evolving compliance and security trends.
  8. Engage with stakeholders to provide guidance on IT governance issues, ensuring all initiatives are in line with our mission and objectives.
  9. Monitor industry trends and changes in legislation to ensure our IT governance frameworks remain current and effective.
  10. Prepare regular reports for senior management highlighting compliance status, risk assessments, and governance activities.
