Lead Cloud Architect

We are seeking a seasoned Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Architect to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of secure, scalable, and resilient cloud environments across multiple business units.

This is an exceptional opportunity for an expert with deep and demonstrable expertise in every corner of the OCI ecosystem to take on a leadership role.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the architecture and implementation of OCI-based solutions across compute, storage, networking, and databases.
  • Own the security architecture across OCI — including IAM, policies, compartments, encryption, WAF, VCN security, and compliance frameworks (e.g., CIS, NIST, GDPR, HIPAA).
  • Evaluate, recommend, and implement OCI services including but not limited to: Autonomous Database, Data Safe, Cloud Guard, Vault, Identity Domains, and more.
  • Design and maintain landing zones, tenancy configurations, and multi-region disaster recovery strategies.
  • Collaborate with security, devops, infrastructure, and compliance teams to enforce least privilege, secure CI/CD pipelines, and monitor threats.
  • Lead incident response and cloud security posture reviews using OCI-native tools.
  • Advise leadership and stakeholders on OCI best practices and emerging features.

Requirements:

  • Extensive hands-on experience (minimum 10+ years) with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
  • OCI Certified Architect Professional (required); additional certifications a plus.
  • Deep understanding of OCI security controls, encryption mechanisms, IAM design, and secure network topologies.
  • Strong experience with Terraform/OCI Resource Manager, scripting (Python, Bash), and automation of OCI infrastructure.
  • Proven track record of securing high-scale OCI environments in regulated industries (finance, healthcare, government, etc.).
  • Exceptional troubleshooting skills across cloud networking, access controls, logging, and cost management.
  • Excellent communication skills — able to translate highly technical OCI features into practical enterprise solutions.
  • Experience integrating OCI with third-party security and monitoring tools (e.g., Splunk, Palo Alto, Tenable).
  • Familiarity with hybrid cloud or multicloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP).
  • Prior work in an Oracle-first enterprise environment.
