Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled professional to fill the role of a Communication Strategist. This individual will play a key part in developing and implementing effective communication strategies that showcase project progress, impact, results, and lessons learned.

  • Develop messaging frameworks, communication plans, and knowledge products for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Built capacity by providing training on storytelling techniques, branding, and effective communications to UNICEF staff and partners.

The ideal candidate will have experience in mass media and/or digital communication, journalism or development communications, with a strong focus on creative writing and content production. Fluency in English, Urdu, and Pashto is required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a provincial-level communication strategy and work plan.
  • Conduct stakeholder analysis, audience analysis, core messages, and communication channels to deliver the communication objectives.
  • Monitor and evaluate the communication strategy against established baselines to measure success.

Content Development & Storytelling:

  • Identify, research, and develop compelling human interest stories and case studies.
  • Produce high-quality photos and videos for UNICEF's website and social media channels.
  • Develop engaging multimedia assets to demonstrate the impact of UNICEF's work in the lives of children.

Project Documentation & Knowledge Management:

  • Document project progress, results, and lessons learned through communication materials.
  • Produce communication materials to support donor reporting, programs, and internal knowledge sharing.

Career Requirements:

  • First University Degree in Communication, Journalism, Marketing, International Development or any related field.
  • Minimum two (2) years relevant professional progressive work experience in mass media and/or digital communication, journalism or development communications.
  • Fluency in English, Urdu, and Pashto is required.
