Geospatial Data Leader

Key Responsibilities:

Map Data Ingestion and Curation: Lead the process of ingesting and curating geospatial data to ensure timely delivery and high-quality results.

Product Roadmap Development: Define and drive a strategic product roadmap for geospatial data analytics and base map management, balancing short-term fixes with long-term improvements.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Foster close collaboration with Geo teams to guarantee accurate rendering of basic geospatial data objects and consistent quality across products.

Performance Analysis: Monitor key performance indicators for geospatial data quality and performance, providing actionable insights to optimize data pipelines and rendering processes.

Scalability and Robustness: Ensure the development of scalable and robust data pipelines that handle high volumes of real-time geospatial data, maintaining consistent and accurate map experiences.

Data-Driven Improvements: Leverage analytics tools to identify performance gaps and implement data-driven enhancements to the geospatial data system.

Requirements:

  1. 7+ years of experience in product or project leadership, preferably in geospatial data, GIS, or location-based services.
  2. Strong understanding of geospatial data ingestion, curation, and base map management, including familiarity with real-time data pipelines and rendering techniques.
  3. Proficient in using analytics tools to measure and enhance geospatial data quality, with a proven ability to interpret data and translate findings into actionable product improvements.
  4. Demonstrated experience working closely with cross-functional teams, including hands-on collaboration with specialized groups like the GeoMaps team.
  5. Skilled in agile methodologies, product planning, and prioritizing tasks based on strategic impact and available resources.
  6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate complex technical details in clear, actionable terms for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
