Job Summary:

Steel Plant Operations Leader

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven leader to oversee the entire production process of steel bars and billets. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in steel manufacturing, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record in managing large-scale plant operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Operational Leadership:
    • Oversight of day-to-day operations to ensure optimal productivity and efficiency.
    • Development of strategies to improve production processes, reduce costs, and enhance product quality.
    • Analysis of key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive continuous improvement.
  2. Team Management:
    • Leadership, mentorship, and development of a high-performing team of managers, supervisors, and production staff.
    • Fostering a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous learning.
    • Regular performance reviews and constructive feedback.
  3. Production Planning:
    • Collaboration with planning and logistics teams to ensure timely and accurate production scheduling.
    • Inventory management to meet customer demands while minimizing excess stock.
    • Alignment with sales and marketing teams to match production with market needs.
  4. Quality Control:
    • Implementation and maintenance of rigorous quality control standards throughout the production process.
    • Compliance with industry standards and regulations.
    • Resolution of quality issues in a timely manner.
  5. Safety and Compliance:
    • Promotion of a safe working environment and adherence to all health and safety regulations.
    • Regular safety audits and training sessions.
    • Staying informed about environmental regulations and ensuring plant compliance.
  6. Financial Management:
    • Development and management of the plant's budget for cost-effective operations.
    • Monitoring and controlling operational expenses.
    • Identification of opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
  7. Maintenance and Equipment:
    • Oversight of maintenance and repair of plant equipment to minimize downtime.
    • Ensuring peak efficiency of machinery and equipment.
    • Planning for capital expenditures and equipment upgrades as needed.

Requirements:

  1. 20 years of experience or 15+ years of experience with a Bachelor in Engineering (Electrical, Metallurgy)
