Electrical Design Specialist

We seek a skilled electrical design specialist to develop and review electrical designs, drawings, and calculations for industrial and oil & gas infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with international standards and client requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead project design and execution activities, assigning tasks to team members as needed.
  • Review engineering documentation and technical offers to ensure compliance with project specifications.
  • Collaborate with the project planning team to develop detailed schedules and progress trackers.
  • Coordinate with suppliers for engineering and project deliverables.
  • Work with the site execution team for safe and timely project execution.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
  • 4-6 years of experience in oil & gas, industrial, and/or petrochemical engineering projects.
  • Strong knowledge of international electrical standards (IEC, ATEX, NEC etc).
  • Experience with electrical design software like ETAP, Dialux etc.
  • Effort estimation and budgeting skills.
  • Design experience with Low Voltage Switchgear & MCCs, Medium Voltage Switchgear & MCCs, AC & DC UPS systems, Transformer Systems, Power Management Systems, VFD & Soft starters.
  • Knowledge of installation and commissioning activities for above systems is an advantage.
  • Containerized substation and E-house experience is an added advantage.
  • Basic understanding of HVAC system design.
