Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and productizing various video solutions on Qualcomm processors, enhancing video and imaging firmware solutions, designing video features, and working with cross-functional teams to commercialize video solutions.

This role requires a strong background in embedded systems, solid C programming skills, multithreading, and OS concepts. The ideal candidate will have experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, guiding team members on assignments, and making strategic decisions.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Recent experience of 6-10 years in embedded systems domain, solid C programming skills, multithreading, and OS concepts.
  • Collaborative experience with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and debug video/multimedia features for mobiles.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, able to guide team members on assignments.
  • Leadership experience, able to lead a team of 2-5 engineers, handle task assignments, decide strategy for the team.
Preferred Skills

  • Understanding of signal processing, video compression/codecs (Encoder + Decoder) and other video pre/post processing algorithms.
  • Multimedia domain experience, hands-on knowledge/experience on H.264/HEVC/VP9/MPEG family video codec(s) development, porting, and optimization.
Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience OR Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 3+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience OR PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience.
