Key Role in Financial Oversight

This position is focused on managing and improving financial controls across various departments, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations.

  • Develop a robust framework for internal control to guarantee adherence to both company guidelines and external regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct detailed analysis across multiple departments to assess risks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement, providing operational recommendations based on a thorough understanding of financial implications.
  • Identify and analyze potential risks affecting the organization, including financial, operational, strategic, and compliance risks. Maintain and update a comprehensive risk-control register, offering actionable insights for mitigation.
  • Communicate financial risk assessments and control suggestions to senior leadership and key stakeholders, promoting transparency and proactive risk management within the organization.
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with evolving regulations and industry standards by implementing risk mitigation strategies and action plans.
  • Evaluate current internal control systems, recommend improvements, and oversee implementation, particularly focusing on utilities-related projects.
Requirements:
  • Background: 5+ years of relevant experience, with significant experience in auditing. Internal controls knowledge is highly preferred. Prior experience in the utilities industry is an advantage.
  • Technical Skills: Deep expertise in financial management, risk analysis, and internal control frameworks, along with the ability to manage cross-functional financial risks.
  • Communication and Stakeholder Management: Strong influencing and communication skills, with experience managing stakeholders at various levels of the organization.
  • Sector Experience: Relevant experience in the utilities sector is beneficial. A legal or finance background combined with experience in internal audits and controls is highly valued.
Work Schedule and Benefits:
