Project Manager - Strategic Leader

Job Description

The Project Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the successful execution of projects within predetermined timelines and budgets. This involves acquiring necessary resources, coordinating team efforts, and maintaining quality control throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Project Planning and Execution: Direct and manage project development from inception to completion, defining project scope, goals, and deliverables that align with business objectives.
  2. Team Management: Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders, delegate tasks, and identify potential issues for timely resolution.
  3. Resource Allocation: Estimate resource requirements, draft budget proposals, and negotiate with other departments for personnel acquisition as needed.
  4. Project Monitoring and Control: Track project milestones, identify dependencies, and develop contingency plans to ensure project success.
  5. Communication and Stakeholder Management: Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, and presentations to stakeholders, while maintaining open communication channels.
  6. Crisis Management: Proactively identify potential crises, devise contingency plans, and implement effective solutions to minimize impact on the project.
  7. Knowledge Sharing and Improvement: Conduct post-project evaluations, create recommendations reports, and develop best practices for future project execution and management.
Requirements

To excel in this role, candidates should possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Direct Work Experience: 5-8 years of experience in project management, including process development and execution.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in project management software, database systems, and operating systems.
  • Leadership and Interpersonal Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead teams, motivate individuals, and build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to navigate complex project scenarios.
  • Flexibility and Adaptability: Ability to adapt to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines while maintaining a proactive approach to project management.
Work Environment

This role may require overtime to meet project deadlines. Additionally, sitting for extended periods and dexterity of hands and fingers to operate computer equipment are essential aspects of the job. Some travel may be necessary for client meetings or off-site collaborations.

Requirements and Expectations
  1. A minimum of 5-8 years direct work experience in a project management capacity.
  2. Strong familiarity with project management software, database systems, and operating systems.
  3. Demonstrated experience in personnel management, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  4. Ability to read communication styles of team members and contractors from diverse disciplines.
  5. Persuasive, encouraging, and motivating qualities to elicit cooperation from various sources.
  6. Customer service skills an asset.
  7. Ability to prioritize and execute tasks effectively in high-pressure environments.
