This position requires a highly skilled Technical Operations Manager to manage operational and support responsibilities for critical services that support software engineering environments globally.
The ideal candidate will have experience handling operations roles to lead delivery for Tier 1/Tier 2 with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and process enhancements. They will be responsible for supporting and troubleshooting existing systems, solving technical challenges, and enhancing the reliability and performance of services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage operational and support responsibilities for critical services.
- Support and troubleshoot existing systems.
- Solve technical challenges and enhance the reliability and performance of services.
- Provide technical support with an emphasis on customer service.
- Basic troubleshooting of Windows & Linux related issues and basic troubleshooting of specific applications & tools.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of IT-related work experience with a Bachelor's degree.
- OR 5+ years of IT-related work experience without a Bachelor's degree.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Solid understanding of Linux and Windows server OS fundamentals, NFS, CIFS, file systems, Networking, Performance tuning, Scripting, Active Directory.
- Experience in Microsoft OS (Windows 2012, Windows 2008, Windows 2003, MS Clustering) and/or Linux/Unix (Ubuntu 12, 14 & 16, RedHat Linux ES 5, and 6).
- Knowledge of DNS, TCP/IP and other networking concepts.
- Must be a self-starter, team player with excellent troubleshooting skills and customer support experience.
