VAT Returns Specialist

We are looking for a highly skilled accountant to perform various financial tasks.
Responsibilities and Duties- Perform day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records.
- Prepare VAT returns, taking into account all relevant tax laws and regulations.
- Close monthly accounts, ensuring all transactions are recorded and reconciled correctly.
- Assist in preparing the year-end working paper file up to final trial balance, providing a comprehensive overview of the company's financial situation.
- Support in finalizing the year-end accounts and corporation tax return, guaranteeing timely submission and minimizing potential penalties.
- Run monthly Payroll, processing employee payments and deductions accurately.
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
- Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles, including financial statement preparation and double-entry accounting.
- Proficient in Excel, with intermediate level skills or higher, and experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks Online, VT Transaction, and Xero.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of bookkeeping and preparing trial balances from client records, as well as excellent analytical skills and a keen eye for detail, and necessary training will be given on taxation where required.
