Job Title: Medical Educator

Overview:

As a Medical Educator, you will facilitate the Head of Department in managing and supervising clinical and academic activities. You will assign duties to Senior Registrars and Registrar staff for smooth department functioning. Your role includes supervising PGs, MOs, HOs, and paramedical staff. You will also coordinate with hospital administration to ensure quality education and patient care.


Responsibilities:
  1. Arrange and conduct lectures, seminars, and practical skills training sessions for MBBS/BDS students.
  2. Prepare and deliver presentations, case studies, and problem-based teaching for postgraduate trainees (FCPS and DCPS).
  3. Assist the Head of Department in organizing conferences, meetings, and workshops in collaboration with other professionals.
  4. Coordinate research and development activities, promote continuous education, and support faculty members and postgraduates in publishing their work.
  5. Provide knowledge on basic patient care management, emergency treatment, and decision-making for common problems.
  6. Assist the Head of Department in conducting examinations for MBBS/BDS.
  7. Ensure regular OPD sessions, manage new patients referred for specialist advice, and oversee ward rounds.
  8. Conduct medical procedures under senior consultant supervision and develop monitoring mechanisms.
  9. Offer specialist advice on patient referrals from other departments.
  10. Evaluate patients in emergency situations if required.
  11. Take on-call commitments outside duty hours to cover critical patients round-the-clock.
  12. Support the Head of Department in confidential inquiries into mortalities.
  13. Manage, supervise, and train PGs, MOs, HOs, and paramedical staff for high-quality patient services and enhanced staff skills.
  14. Develop and maintain duty rota for the department, resolve staff management issues, and maintain liaison with hospital administration.
  15. Adhere to Islamic and medical ethics as per the institution's mission statement.
