Job Description

As a Senior Assistant, Student Finance, you will be responsible for coordinating with students to ensure timely recovery of loans and fees. This includes charging fees to respective programs and coordinating with program coordinators for enrollment, as well as circulating monthly loan reminders to alumni and following up on payment plans.

You will also prepare and monitor monthly schedules for fees and loans, prepare invoices for agencies and institutions, and respond to queries received via email daily while monitoring unanswered email status.

In addition, you will provide clearance to employees against exit checklists, noting outstanding amounts in the system, record bad debts related to student fees and loans for students and alumni, and create and record annual administrative charges on student loans in AKUROSS at year-end.

You will calculate amounts owed by alumni against contract breaches and record daily online payments received in the bank while liaising with the treasury department for bank reconciliation.

Finally, you will prepare supplier and payment documents for applicants and student refunds.
