Billing Officer

The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate invoices, ensuring timely billing, reconciling accounts, and supporting the monthly closing process.

Key responsibilities include generating and issuing customer invoices as per service agreements, coordinating with sales teams for billing data and customer updates, ensuring accuracy in billing and account information, reconciling billing records with payments received, following up on outstanding payments, maintaining organized records for audit and compliance, and supporting finance teams during month-end closing and reporting.

  • Generate Invoices: Prepare accurate invoices, issue them to customers in a timely manner, and maintain accurate records of invoicing activity.
  • Coordinate Billing Data: Work closely with sales teams to ensure accurate billing data and customer updates are obtained.
  • Ensure Billing Accuracy: Verify accuracy of billing information, reconcile billing records with payments received, and address any discrepancies promptly.
  • Follow Up on Payments: Follow up on outstanding payments in a professional and timely manner, working closely with the recovery team as needed.
  • Maintain Records: Maintain accurate and organized records of all billing activity, including invoicing, payments, and reconciliation.
  • Support Finance Team: Provide support to the finance team during month-end closing and reporting processes.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, 1-3 years of relevant experience in billing/accounts, proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software, and familiarity with automotive or service industry billing is an advantage.
