Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare comprehensive financial reports, including statements, work papers, and supporting schedules for monthly and quarterly periods.
  • Effectively manage intercompany chargebacks and perform accurate reconciliations for GST/HST/QST, bank, and tenant accounts.
  • Record month-end and recurring journal entries while assisting with collections.
  • Develop and review annual CAM and tax billing/lease agreements in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
  • Prepare year-end audit working papers and coordinate with external auditors to ensure seamless execution.
  • Cultivate a strong partnership with Property and Asset Managers on accounting matters.
  • Oversee cash flow and cash call processes to ensure efficient operations.
  • Support acquisition and disposition analysis by preparing closing adjustment statements.
  • Perform additional duties assigned by the Manager in support of organizational objectives.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Post-secondary education in accounting or a related field.
  • CA/CMA/ICMA/ACCA certification or partial qualification is advantageous.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills, particularly in crafting detailed reports and presenting complex information.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, to analyze and present data effectively.
  • At least 4 years of full-cycle accounting experience with a proven track record of delivering results.
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken) is essential.
  • Experience in the IT & software development industry is preferred.
