  • Job Description:

The successful Country Manager will be responsible for setting priorities, objectives, strategies, and delegation guidelines for logistics in line with the overall strategy and priorities of the organization. They will support the management team in establishing procedures that enable the smooth implementation of joint and/or complementary activities with other components of the organization.

The Country Manager will coordinate activities with logistics staff and ensure their recommendations are implemented. They will maintain an efficient supply chain within the country and adapt infrastructure and assets to meet needs.

They will also be responsible for maintaining and ensuring proper use of general and specialized logistics IT tools, including monitoring the integrity of transaction data. This includes ensuring collaborative demand planning is in place as per standard operating procedures (SOPs) and sharing information with relevant stakeholders.

The Country Manager will set up, operate, and manage warehouse and stock inventory, as well as being in charge of fleet management, transport, and distribution activities. They will follow up on the supply pipeline of the delegation, including import-export activities, and manage finances for the cost centre(s) under their responsibility.

Lastly, they will ensure that risks are mitigated by performing the controls assigned to the role as described in the Logistics Risk and Control Matrix.



Requirements:
  • Master's Degree: Business Administration, Sciences Economics, or a related field combined with work experience in Logistician
  • Minimum Experience: 8-10 years in commercial or humanitarian Logistics
  • Leadership Experience: Successful experience in leading multidisciplinary teams
  • Additional Skills: Change management, Fleet management, Purchasing, Supply Chain, Stock, Computer Proficiency, Fluency in Afghani and English language
