Medical Officer Position

A medical officer is required to provide high-quality patient care in the gastroenterology department.

The successful candidate will work closely with consultants and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and effective management of complex cases.

  • Conduct thorough assessments for both inpatient and outpatient cases.
  • Accurately document findings in patient records.
  • Formulate and implement management plans with consultant guidance.
  • Provide expertise and support for managing complex cases.
  • Review patients under the supervision of consultants.
  • Promptly evaluate and address gastroenterology consults.
  • Develop and implement management plans under faculty supervision.
  • Effectively communicate with patients and staff.
  • Play a pivotal role in preparing for and assisting during endoscopic procedures.
  • Document details of endoscopic procedures.
  • Ensure smooth transitions of patients' post-endoscopy.
  • Maintain a physical presence during in-house calls.
  • Supervise internal medicine residents and interns.
  • Actively participate in academic activities related to gastroenterology.
  • Stay updated with the latest developments in the field.
  • Contribute to the education and training of medicine residents, interns, and students.
Requirements

The following skills and qualifications are required:

  • MBBS from an institution recognized by relevant authorities.
  • One year of house job or internship experience.
  • FCPS Medicine or equivalent examinations, or 3-year training in Gastroenterology and waiting for exams, or 4 Years training in Internal Medicine and waiting for FCPS II exams.
