Senior Network Security Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Network Security Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our infrastructure department, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our network security architecture.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in networking and security, with experience in Cisco Meraki Environment management, Azure/AWS Networking and Systems/Environment management, SD-WAN technologies, and building/installing network appliances.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement network security architectures to protect against cyber threats.
  • Maintain and optimize existing network security systems, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and virtual private networks (VPNs).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of security solutions into our overall infrastructure.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends, technologies, and best practices to ensure our network remains secure.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation to support security processes and procedures.
  • Provide expert-level guidance and support to junior team members on security-related matters.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in network security, with a focus on design, implementation, and maintenance.
  • Strong understanding of networking protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and HTTP.
  • Experience with security frameworks, such as NIST Cybersecurity Framework and ISO 27001.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
