About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled professional to lead our Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) activities, ensuring the effectiveness and impact of our projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in M&E, with experience in the non-profit sector, and a passion for media development and press freedom.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design and implement M&E systems and frameworks that align with our strategic goals and project objectives.
  2. Develop and maintain indicators for measuring project effectiveness, impact, and sustainability.
  3. Conduct regular monitoring of ongoing projects to ensure they are progressing as planned and meeting set targets.
  4. Coordinate and conduct evaluations, including baseline, mid-term, and end-line assessments, to assess the outcomes and impact of projects.
  5. Analyze data collected through M&E activities and prepare comprehensive reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  6. Provide recommendations based on M&E findings to inform strategic decision-making and project improvements.
  7. Train and guide staff on M&E best practices, tools, and methodologies.
  8. Ensure compliance with donor reporting requirements and contribute to proposal development with accurate M&E data.

Requirements:

  • A four-year Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in monitoring and evaluation, preferably within the NGO sector.
  • Experience in designing M&E tools, data collection, analysis, and report writing.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Excellent writing skills.
