Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Data Entry Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have excellent numerical and analytical skills, with the ability to accurately enter, verify, and maintain financial data in accounting systems.

  • The successful candidate will possess strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain confidentiality.
  • A strong understanding of accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or Tally) and MS Excel is essential for this role.
  • The ideal candidate should have a background in accounting, finance, or a related field, with at least 6 months to 1-year prior experience in data entry, accounting, or finance.
Responsibilities

The Data Entry Specialist will be responsible for:

  • Enter, verify, and maintain financial data in accounting systems with high accuracy.
  • Process invoices, receipts, and other financial transactions in compliance with company policies.
  • Assist in reconciling bank statements and financial records.
  • Maintain and update financial databases, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
  • Prepare reports, summaries, and financial statements as required.
  • Assist in generating and reviewing financial documents for errors or discrepancies.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to obtain necessary financial information.
  • Ensure proper documentation and filing of all financial transactions.
  • Support the accounts team in administrative and clerical tasks.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, the candidate must have:

  • Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • At least 6 months to 1-year prior experience in data entry, accounting, or finance is preferred.
  • Understanding of accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or Tally) and MS Excel.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills with high accuracy in data entry.
  • Excellent written and verbal English skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to identify and correct errors in financial data.
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Experience working in an accounts department or financial environment.
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance and tax policies.
