Medical Department Lead

Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Department Lead to facilitate the management and supervision of clinical and academic activities within our department. This key role involves working closely with the Head of Department to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care and education.
Key Responsibilities:- Lecturing and Teaching:
- Academic Delivery:
- Deliver lectures, seminars, and practical skills training for MBBS/BDS students, aligning with the curriculum requirements.
- Teach postgraduate trainees (FCPS and DCPS) in clinical presentations, case-based discussions, and journal clubs.
- Departmental Administration:
- Assist the Head of Department in organizing clinical meetings, conferences, and workshops.
- Coordinate research activities and continuous education initiatives for faculty members and postgraduate trainees.
- Evaluate and ensure publication requirements are met as part of the department's research activities.
- Patient Care:
- Specialized Advice:
- Provide specialist advice on medical problems referred from other departments.
- Assess patients in the emergency department as required.
- Quality Patient Care:
- Convey knowledge on basic management of common patient care problems.
- Develop and maintain regular OPD sessions for continuing medical care.

- Staff Management:
- Supervision and Training:
- Manage, supervise, and train PGs/MOs/HOs and other paramedical staff.
- Prepare and monitor duty rota for the department, ensuring effective staff management.
- Liaison and Communication:
- Maintain close liaison with hospital administration to ensure proper ward management.

- Clinical Rounds:
- Regularly review patient progress and care through clinical rounds of the ward.
- Monitoring Mechanisms:
- Implement and maintain monitoring mechanisms to ensure compliance with recommended diagnostics and investigations.

- Foster a culture that adheres to Islamic and medical ethics in accordance with our mission statement.
