Microbiologist Job Description

As a Microbiologist, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and safety of our products. This includes developing and implementing quality standards, testing products, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements.

  • Develop and maintain quality standards for raw materials, in-process products, and finished products;
  • Design and implement testing procedures to ensure compliance with quality standards;
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement and implement changes;
  • Analyze data and reports to inform decision-making and drive process improvements;

Key Responsibilities:

  • Environmental Monitoring: Responsible for the execution and reassessment of the company Environmental Monitoring program;
  • Laboratory Testing and Calibration: Operates and maintains a safe, accident-free laboratory environment;
  • SAP: Accurately complete data entry into SAP for release of lots to ensure timely dispatches to customers;
  • Audits: Involved in both internal and external auditing processes by ensuring laboratory practices comply with regulatory standards, customer requirements, and quality management systems;

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Microbiology or related field;
  • 1-2 years of experience in microbial laboratory food and pharmaceutical industry;
  • Strong understanding of quality management systems and regulatory requirements;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
