Job Title: Advanced Care Practitioner

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team as an Advanced Care Practitioner. This role offers a unique opportunity to take on new challenges and responsibilities, working closely with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care throughout the shift, prioritizing their physical and emotional needs in a calm and respectful manner.
  • Responsible for ensuring the quality of care by adhering to therapeutic standards, measuring health outcomes against patient care goals, and making necessary adjustments.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to resolve patient problems and needs, utilizing effective communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Prepare and administer medication, maintaining accurate records and adhering to controlled substance regulations.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment, following infection-control policies and procedures, and reporting any incidents or concerns.
  • Facilitate doctor consultations, recording instructions and preparing patients for procedures, ensuring all necessary equipment is available.
  • Carry out doctors' orders, questioning any concerns regarding prescribed treatment, and ensuring timely completion of tasks.
  • Manage medical supply requirements, ensuring stock levels are adequate and easily accessible.
  • Check and record vital signs, particularly for pre-operative and post-operative patients, drawing blood and performing other lab procedures as needed.
  • Perform IV cannulations, following Clinical IPPs policy manual, and notify/report incidents in a timely manner.
