International Marketing Strategist Job

The purpose of this role is to develop and execute business-to-consumer (B2C) marketing strategies across key international markets, ensuring alignment with the company's overall brand strategy. This position is responsible for in-market activations, point-of-sale management, and tracking the effectiveness of marketing efforts to ensure consistent brand execution across diverse geographies.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Activation Strategy & In-Market Execution:
  • Develops B2C strategy and oversees all in-market execution activities.
  • Collaborates closely with category and brand managers to ensure localized execution aligns with central marketing strategies.
  • Develops, localizes, and compiles activation plans across all key markets in coordination with the brand team.
  • Manages the placement and rotation of in-store point-of-sale materials to ensure maximum impact.
  • Plans and oversees the execution of trade exhibitions.
Team Management:
  • Manages Brand Builders stationed in international markets, providing guidance and support for local execution.
  • Builds and maintains necessary infrastructure in each focus market for effective execution.
  • Ensures that in-market teams adhere to brand guidelines and activation best practices.
Performance Tracking:
  • Tracks the effectiveness of in-market activations, providing regular feedback and data to the brand team.
  • Ensures quality and consistency of execution across different markets.
  • Collects consumer insights and campaign performance data to develop a customer relationship management framework.
Coordination:
  • Collaborates closely with category and brand managers for execution of in-market activations, point-of-sale management, and product launches.
  • Works with distributors and third-party agencies to ensure smooth execution of campaigns.
Skills:
  • Strong project management and executional skills.
  • Ability to collaborate across teams, including brand managers, sales, and distributors.
  • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
  • Excellence in oral, written, and electronic communication.
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple markets and projects simultaneously.
  • Financial acumen to track and manage activation budgets effectively.
Experience Required & Background Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in B2C marketing, trade marketing, or in-market activations within fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG).
  • Experience working in international markets is a plus.
  • Experience managing third-party agencies and execution teams.
  • Experience in taking a singular idea, localizing, and executing it in different markets.
  • Experience in capability and in-market marketing infrastructure development.
