
Nursing Operations Director

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nursing Operations Director to oversee the daily operations of a nursing unit, ensuring high-quality patient care and managing nursing staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Staff Management: Ensure 100% compliance with quality nursing standards by deploying staff in consultation with concerned matrons. Develop and implement effective strategies for staff management, including performance evaluations and training programs.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Play a key role in bridging gaps between nursing, paramedical staff, consultants, and hospital administration. Foster close collaboration and communication among departments to ensure seamless delivery of patient care services.
- Nursing Practices Monitoring: Conduct regular rounds and visits of wards, OPD, ER, OT, check patients' files, nursing notes, and inventory of medicine to ensure coordination with respective matrons for cleanliness and maintenance. Implement and maintain high standards of nursing practice, adhering to relevant regulations and guidelines.
- Interviews and Orientation: Serve as a board member for nursing staff interviews and implement orientation and training programs for new staff across all hospitals. Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs that meet the needs of nursing staff, improving their skills and knowledge.
- Matron Supervision: Supervise and monitor duties of hospitals matrons/nursing in charge. Provide guidance and support to matrons, ensuring they have the necessary resources and expertise to perform their roles effectively.
- Operational Support: Foster close interaction with nursing and paramedical staff to resolve workplace operational and administrative issues. Analyze and address any challenges or concerns, implementing solutions that improve workflow and efficiency.
- Policies and Procedures: Develop and implement approved policies and procedures, conduct regular internal monitoring/audit of healthcare quality standards, patient safety, infection control, and quality assurance of nursing procedures in collaboration with HQD. Stay up-to-date with regulatory requirements and best practices, ensuring our policies and procedures meet the highest standards.
- HIMS Compliance: Ensure 100% compliance in HIMS Nursing Module in coordination with the HIMS coordinator and HQD. Collaborate with IT teams to resolve any technical issues, ensuring seamless integration of systems.
- Training and Development: Identify training gaps, plan and organize nursing and paramedical staff training in coordination with HQD/HDS, and supervise post-training performance. Develop and deliver training programs that enhance the skills and knowledge of nursing staff, improving patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- Nursing Assistant Training: Develop a mechanism for nursing assistant training programs for paramedical staff at all levels in coordination with the School of Nursing and HQD. Ensure that training programs meet the needs of nursing assistants, equipping them with the necessary skills and knowledge to provide high-quality care.
- Clinical Training: Coordinate with the Principal of Riphah College of Nursing for clinical training of college students at RHS Hospitals. Establish partnerships with educational institutions to provide opportunities for clinical training, enhancing the skills and knowledge of future nursing professionals.
- Riphah Mission Implementation: Achieve implementation of Riphah Mission and Islamic Ethical Values in every course of action and behavior among staff at teaching hospitals. Embed these values into our organizational culture, promoting a work environment that is respectful, inclusive, and compassionate.
