IT and Manufacturing Solution Architect

This is a challenging role that requires technical expertise to design, architect, develop and document manufacturing IT solutions that solve complex problems.

About the Role

The IT and Manufacturing Solution Architect is accountable for driving solution design activities within the IT Manufacturing product teams, ensuring alignment with the overall Enterprise Architecture and product stream strategy.

Your Responsibilities
  • Use technical expertise to design, architect, develop and document manufacturing IT solutions that solve complex problems across different projects on factory networks, Azure or SaaS.
  • Provide technical leadership throughout the design and deployment life cycle and focus on delivery with quality.
  • Lead technical discussions on technical architecture and build consensus among all stakeholders including vendors.
  • Responsible for creating technical architecture specification documents with inputs from factory networks, cloud, product and integration teams.
  • Provide technical architecture consultancy and design for projects.
  • Understand security and compliance requirements and deliver solutions as per defined business standards, principles and patterns.
  • Design end-to-end application architecture and data security for IaaS, PaaS and SaaS that integrates with factory OT devices.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 8+ years of experience in network, enterprise applications, integration and solution designing.
  • Deep technical experience in networking (factory and corporate) and infrastructure design including on-premises, private and public cloud, virtualization, storage and integration services.
  • Proven expertise in designing and architecting multi-tier cloud only / hybrid networks, infrastructures and integrations.
  • Knowledge of OT assets and OT networks and their integration with cloud infrastructures.
  • Knowledge of security services and identity services like encryption, active directory, RBAC, NSGs / ASGs, firewall policies etc.
  • Knowledge of Azure networking services (e.g. VNETs, Load Balancers, Front Door, ExpressRoute, Traffic Manager, Content Delivery Network) and firewalls.
