Software Engineer II - Splunk Admin

We have an exciting and rewarding opportunity for you to take your software engineering career to the next level. Our team is looking for a seasoned Software Engineer II with expertise in Splunk administration to join our agile team.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and troubleshoot creative software solutions with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches.
  • Develop secure high-quality production code and review/debug code written by others.
  • Identify opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems.
  • Lead evaluation sessions with external vendors and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs and technical credentials.
  • Drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologies within communities of practice across Software Engineering.
  • Solve business problems through innovation, collaboration with stakeholders, and thriving in a diverse environment.

Required Qualifications:

  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 2+ years applied experience.
  • Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
  • Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages.
  • Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods.
  • Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.
  • In-depth Python experience, Big Data e.g. Hadoop/ HDFS/ Spark / Scala / Splunk.
  • Advanced knowledge of application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline.
  • In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems.
