Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Operations Manager to lead our gas infrastructure operations. The ideal candidate will have at least 9 years of experience in the field and possess first-hand knowledge of Underground Fuel Gas (UFG) reduction mechanisms.

About the Role:

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for finalizing and implementing the monthly meter reading plan for domestic, industrial, and commercial consumers based on their respective billing zones.
  • This includes driving reductions in Disconnection Cases, Billing Errors, and Unbilled Cases.
  • The Senior Operations Manager will oversee the operational, technical, budgetary, human resources, regulatory, and legal aspects of the department, including Sales/UFG reporting and projections.
  • Key responsibilities include analyzing the Billing Process, focusing on Unregistered Volume realization, Pre-Use Gauge (PUG), Slow and Sticky Meter adjustments, and Test Report Analysis.
  • Conducting monthly readings and surveys to determine Premise Status (Occupancy), Tempering/ Theft cases, and rehabilitation efforts is also crucial.
  • Pursuing UFG reduction through strategic initiatives like negative pressures, Tempering/PUG/Slow Meter Adjustments, and Leftover Cases Analysis will be an essential aspect of the role.
  • Effective management of Gas Infrastructure Development Corporation (GIDC) collections and reconciliation, as well as tariff and tax matters, RLNG blended rates, customer classification, and defaulter issues will also be required.
  • The successful candidate will deliver high-quality services to customers, resolve queries efficiently, and handle disputes related to Prime Minister's Delivery Unit (PMDU), Ombudsman, Court, and Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA).
  • A comprehensive strategy for UFG reduction and increasing SBU sales will need to be developed.
  • Coordinating policies and measures to control gas theft by introducing new technologies and vigilant monitoring teams, planning raids at suspected gas pilferage points in collaboration with relevant departments is vital.
  • Maintaining close liaison with zones for implementing UFG policies and leading, motivating, and training the billing department staff will also be key responsibilities.
  • Making presentations to the Board of Directors/Senior Management regarding billing and UFG activities and implementation status is also required.
  • Attending OGRA meetings and responding to queries regarding disputed gas theft cases and billing-related matters will be part of the role.
  • Performing due diligence of the section by acting as an internal quality control check and overseeing internal and external audits of the section will be an essential responsibility.
