This IT Support Specialist role involves providing technical assistance and support for network infrastructure, server systems, and hardware/software-related issues.
Main Responsibilities:- Deliver expert IT support for hardware, software, networking, and server-related problems.
- Optimize network performance by monitoring and maintaining switches, routers, firewalls, and Wi-Fi access points.
- Configure and troubleshoot Windows and Linux-based servers to ensure seamless operations.
- Implement regular system backups, patch management, and updates to prevent downtime.
- Manage Fortinet, Security surveillance, and Access controls to ensure robust security protocols.
- Collaborate with vendors and service providers for network and server support to resolve complex issues.
- Maintain accurate documentation of systems, configurations, and procedures to ensure knowledge sharing.
- Adhere to IT policies and security protocols to safeguard the organization's assets.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience (2-4 years) in IT support with a focus on network and server troubleshooting.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and firewall configurations is essential.
- Experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, and basic Linux server administration is required.
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMware/Hyper-V is an asset.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills are necessary to interact with stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
