Database Manager Role

At SSGC, we are seeking a seasoned professional to oversee and manage our entire database infrastructure.

  • We require a candidate with a strong background in Oracle ERP and CC&B Database Administration.
  • At least 10 years of experience in this field is essential.

Candidates must have a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or IT.

Job Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the security, availability, and performance of our databases.

  • Develop strategic plans for database scalability, reliability, and optimal performance.
  • Built database systems that meet end-user requirements.
  • Set clear goals and objectives aligned with our IT strategy.
  • Maintain data distribution to users in an appropriate format and timely manner.
  • Collaborate with our architecture team to align database designs with overall IT architecture standards.
  • Implement strategies for performance monitoring, tuning, and optimization of database systems.
  • Lead our Database Administration team by providing visionary leadership.
  • Plan for the scalability of database resources to meet growing business needs.
  • Establish and enforce security protocols for databases, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and organizational policies.
  • Work closely with our security team to implement and enhance database security measures.
  • Develop and maintain robust disaster recovery and business continuity plans for database systems.
  • Manage relationships with database technology vendors, staying informed about the latest advancements.
  • Collaborate with internal/external/Govt. Auditors and take appropriate measures as per their recommendations.
  • Manage and maintain SLAs and license compliance for existing business critical systems and new projects.
  • This role plays a critical part in ensuring the security, availability, and performance of our databases.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in Oracle ERP and CC&B Database Administration.
  • At least 4 years of relevant experience as a Functional / Team Lead for ERP and CC&B Database Administration.
  • Relevant certification is preferred but not mandatory.
