Job Description

To succeed in this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of a retail store. This includes scheduling and assigning employees, maintaining staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training them in coordination with the HR department.

You will also ensure consistent performance of staff by coaching, counseling, and disciplining them as needed. Additionally, you will plan, monitor, and appraise performance according to HR guidelines.

This position requires you to achieve financial objectives by preparing monthly and annual budgets, planning expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions.

You will identify current and future customer requirements by establishing rapport with potential and actual customers and other stakeholders who can provide insight into service needs.

Furthermore, you will protect employees and customers by ensuring a safe and clean store environment.

Your role will also involve maintaining the stability and reputation of the store by complying with legal requirements.

Finally, you will ensure that the company's brand image is protected and enhanced by providing quality products and services through the store team.

You should have strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate clearly and build relationships with colleagues and customers.

  • Ability to multitask and manage cash transactions
  • Able to work in a fast-paced working environment
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Must work retail hours and be prepared to work on weekends and public holidays
