Student Experience Leader
The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree with knowledge of the Higher Education Sector and its administration.
This position is responsible for driving the implementation of student experience policy and strategies, supporting student orientation programs, and overseeing extracurricular student-related activities.
Main Responsibilities:
- Developing a portfolio of services that support students in their academic journey.
- Providing strategic direction to enhance the overall quality of the students' experience.
- Ensuring students receive support and activities that promote their social, cultural, and recreational life.
- Working with stakeholders across the University to understand the student experience through feedback channels and data analysis.
- Leading key projects to monitor and evaluate service activity and impact, making strategic recommendations for change.
- Managing international student onboarding and providing necessary support for settling into the university community.
- Serving as a role model for students, ensuring compliance with the University's Student Code of Conduct and Disciplinary Procedures.
- Providing leadership and accountability for non-academic student programs and experiences.
- Building relationships with students, staff, and external organizations to provide an excellent student experience.
- Influencing change to ensure strong support for student activities and cultural initiatives.
- Developing communication plans and schedules of student-centered activities and events.
- Identifying issues affecting campus life and bringing them to the attention of senior management.
- Engaging students with the university as their 'Alma Mater' by fostering university citizenship.
- Coordinating student committees and serving as the University officer responsible for administering the Student Code of Conduct and Disciplinary Procedures.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- A Master's degree with knowledge of the Higher Education Sector.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) for interaction with students, departments, and external organizations.
- Enthusiasm and ability to work with and motivate others in a team.
- Previous experience managing a high-volume workload requiring speed and accuracy.
- An understanding of confidentiality and safeguarding when dealing with vulnerable populations.
- Data analysis and evaluation skills.
- Project management delivery, planning, and prioritizing work.
- Extensive knowledge of developing programs and proposals for student activities.
