Senior Accounting Role

We are seeking a motivated and ambitious professional to join our team as a Senior Accountant. This role offers significant opportunities for personal and career growth, enabling you to contribute to an expanding portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare and deliver monthly/quarterly financial reporting packages, including financial statements, work papers, and supporting schedules.
  2. Manage intercompany chargebacks.
  3. Perform reconciliations for GST/HST/QST, bank accounts, and tenant accounts, and assist with the collection process.
  4. Prepare and review annual final CAM and Tax billing/lease agreements.
  5. Record month-end and recurring journal entries.
  6. Assist in developing the annual budget.
  7. Prepare year-end audit working papers and coordinate with auditors during fieldwork.
  8. Collaborate with Property Managers and Asset Managers on relevant accounting issues.
  9. Oversee cash flow management and cash call processes.
  10. Support acquisition and disposition analysis, including preparation of closing statements of adjustments.
  11. Perform additional duties as assigned by the Manager.

Qualifications:

  • A post-secondary education in accounting or business is required.
  • Candidates should possess CA/CMA/ICMA/ACCA certification or partial qualification.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment are essential.
  • Exceptional communication skills, particularly in writing detailed reports, are necessary.
  • Candidates should be proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in full-cycle accounting is required.
  • Proficient English communication skills (written and spoken) are also expected.
  • Experience in IT & ITES companies is advantageous.
