Compliance Officer - Tax

This role is responsible for ensuring the company's compliance with UAE tax laws, including VAT, corporate tax, and excise duties. This involves preparing and filing tax returns, conducting tax reconciliations, analyzing tax liabilities, and staying updated with UAE tax regulations. You will work closely with the finance team to identify areas of non-compliance and implement corrective actions. Your expertise will help minimize risks, ensure regulatory compliance, and support strategic financial planning.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare and file VAT returns, ensuring compliance with UAE Federal Tax Authority (FTA) regulations.
  2. Manage corporate tax calculations, filings, and submissions as per UAE tax laws.
  3. Monitor and handle excise tax obligations if applicable to specific vehicle imports.
  4. Ensure timely payment of taxes and maintain accurate tax records for audits.


Required Skills & Qualifications:

A Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field is required. Three or more years of tax accounting experience, preferably in the automobile industry or trading sector in the UAE, is also required. Strong knowledge of UAE VAT laws, corporate tax regulations, and FTA compliance is essential. Proficiency in accounting and tax software, such as SAP, Oracle, or Zoho, is also necessary. Analytical thinking, attention to detail, and strong communication skills are also required.
